I have just added images of the remains of the original manuscript letter that Chatterton sent to his sister, 30th May 1770: View the letter

The remains of the letter was owned by Tom Routledge, one of the founding members of the Thomas Chatterton Society back in 2002. Unfortunately Tom died on May 24th 2011, and is greatly missed by all who knew him (can't believe it's nine years). The letter passed to his wife, Sandra, along with Tom's large collection of Chattertonian books. The book collection has been passed to Simon Fraser University, Canada, but the fragment of the letter is available for sale.
